FAQ about hiring Power BI freelancers
What HR systems can Power BI connect to?
Power BI connects to popular HRMS platforms including SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, BambooHR, ADP, and custom HR databases. For Vietnamese companies using local HRMS systems, a freelancer can build custom connectors or work from Excel/CSV exports.
Can HR dashboards handle sensitive employee data securely?
Yes. Row-Level Security (RLS) ensures managers only see their direct reports' data. Sensitive fields like salary can be hidden for specific roles. Published reports in Power BI Service enforce these security rules consistently.
What KPIs are typically tracked in an HR dashboard?
Common HR KPIs include: headcount by department/location, voluntary and involuntary attrition rate, time-to-hire and cost-per-hire, overtime hours, training completion rates, and engagement survey scores. A freelancer will configure exactly the metrics your HR team needs.
How do I track attrition and turnover trends in Power BI?
A freelancer models termination dates, hire dates, and department data to calculate rolling attrition rates, cohort survival curves, and flight risk scoring. DAX time intelligence functions handle monthly, quarterly, and YTD comparisons accurately.
What is the price for an HR analytics Power BI dashboard?
Reference prices follow SenData's 5 report tiers — Student / practice Power BI report: 200,000 VND – under 500,000 VND; Small / personal report: 500,000 VND – under 1,500,000 VND; Basic business report: 1,500,000 VND – under 3,000,000 VND; Business-wide report: 3,000,000 VND – under 6,000,000 VND; Advanced report / BI system: From 6,000,000 VND — custom quote. HR & People dashboards with several data sources, row-level security or system integration usually fall into the advanced tier and are quoted separately. Freelancers quote a concrete price after seeing your data and requirements; see the pricing page for details.
